1973 to 1976
He practised as a litigation lawyer (criminal and civil) in Singapore.
1977
He worked in London with Sherwood & Co, a firm of Parliamentary Agents, engaged mainly in preparing and presenting bills to the English Parliament.
1978 to 1986
He practised in Peninsula Malaysia and Singapore as a litigation lawyer in a broad range of the law, and since then, he has practised mainly as a civil litigation lawyer in the areas of:
